Happy New Year!
As the Jewish New Year (and Fiscal Year 2009) dawn, Congress finds itself in a precarious predicament. With the defeat of the financial bailout package (205-228) and House Leadership in disarray, Members are taking the New Year break to regroup and rethink. Perhaps the nearly 800-point drop in the Dow will be a wakeup call to politicians. Perhaps not. Suffice it to say that real leadership was not shown, either in creating the mess or in failing to solve it. Stay Tuned!
