Congress takes a well deserved recess.
Congress enters the Memorial Day recess with a flurry of activity and a much-needed break. Controversy over the misenrolled farm bill (passed over the President's veto), a supplemental appropriation for Iraq and domestic programs, tax extenders legislation and the FY 2009 Budget Resolution topped the last minute list. Back to work in June with Appropriations topping the agenda.
Of course, June 3 also marks the end of the Democratic Primary season and a much anticipated anointment of a Democratic Nominee and unity push for the party. Care to throw your hat (or choice) in the ring for a VP nominee for each of the frontrunners??
Time will tell.
